First Party Cookies

Bikestyle’s website creates a number of cookies, referred to as “First Party Cookies” as they are specific to the host site that created them. All the first-party cookies created by the Bikestyle site do not store any personal or sensitive information, or anything that makes you personally identifiable to Bikestyle. First Party Cookies are used for essential functionality such as security when processing form data or for analytics which helps us use anonymous visitor data to gain a better understanding of how people use our website.

By using our website we’ll assume that you are happy to receive all cookies on our website, but we have provided links on how you can set your browser to prevent cookies being created.

A Cookie Message may appear along the bottom of our website when you first open the site. This warns you that the site collects cookies and asks you to accept this. If you close this Cookie Message, our web server will create a cookie called “cookieclosed”. Cookieclosed is essential for remembering that you have closed this message and to prevent the Cookie Message from continually reappearing. Cookieclosed expires after 24 months from the initial ‘close’ of the message, after which the Cookie Message may reappear if you revisit our website.

Our web server may create a session cookie called PHPSESSID. This cookie is essential for your use of some of the interactive elements of our website, such as contact forms. It contains a session ID which distinguishes your visit to our website from any other visitors that may be using the website at the same time. There is a cookie created called hittail_ok to monitor the popularity of content on our website. This cookie contains non-personally identifiable information and is deleted when you close your web browser. Every computer that accesses this website is assigned a different cookie that allows us to statistically monitor how many people are using the website. It allows us to determine the popularity of certain content. It does not allow us to track what content a specific person or device has viewed.

Third Party Cookies created by external services

Third Party Cookies are cookies created by an external service when you use a page on our website.
